8TH ANNUAL CIVIL WAR FIELD TRIP 11/1/2009 Students in Mr. Pyles' Civil War class are off on a two-day field trip to Gettysburg (site of the largest battle ever waged during the American Civil War) and Antietam (site of the end of General Robert E. Lee's first invasion of the north), visiting in-person many of the places about which they've been studying this fall.
