Our top rated camp experience!!
Campers rave about the opportunity to spend time with our very own Marine Science rock star Will Smiley. Campers often report back that "this isn't a science camp." But whoever says science can't be fun has not experienced the hands-on fun approach of a true discovery camp. If you enjoy digging, poking, getting dirty and discovering things on your own then this is the camp for you. The classroom is the Chesapeake Bay watersheds and salt marshes and the teacher is there to help explain your discoveries.
With three different focuses to choose from we know that we have exactly the camp for you

Fishing Camp
2 Weeks, Ages 9-15
Coed Boarding and Day
Weeks of June 28 to July 4, 2009
July 5 - 11, 2009
In partnership with Virginia Fishing Adventures, learn the basics of fresh and salt water fishing while exploring some of Virginia's most prolific and historic waters. This camp includes fishing for bass, blue gill, spot, croaker, flounder and flathead. See fisheries and professional biologists at work! In fact the director loves fishing so much that he named his son Fisher!
While we cannot legally guarantee you will catch fish, we can share with you some quotes from last summer: "Best Fishing Ever," "I caught the biggest fish," and "That was Awesome!". But mostly, you'll catch a lot of fish.
This is a fun week and proper fishing gear is supplied (but you may bring your own).
Fishing Camp has a different pricing structure $860 for boarding and $550 for day campers.
