Working at Christchurch School means joining a coed boarding and day school committed to guiding more than 200 college-bound high school students. We do this at a school with a proud 100-year tradition and an equally strong commitment to a forward-focused educational experience. BENEFITS & GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
More than 70% of faculty members and their families live on campus, where housing includes utilities. Faculty families are welcome for all regular meals when school is in session. Resident and non-resident members of the faculty participate in the full life of the school-from morning assembly and chapel to classroom and after-school activities, athletics, residential life oversight and weekend activities, as well as special events and awards ceremonies.
The standard load carried by faculty members is four classes, two co-curricular seasons, and rotating dorm duty. All positions include competitive salary commensurate with experience and education, as well as benefits (major medical insurance, dental, and vision, TIAA-CREF, disability insurance, life insurance, meals, and professional development) and may include housing and utilities.

Christchurch sits on the banks of the Rappahannock in rural Tidewater, Virginia, a small-town setting with an international student body that gives campus a wider world's feel. You are close to Urbanna, Gloucester, and Kilmarnock, forty-five minutes from Williamsburg, and about an hour from Richmond and Hampton Roads, with the Chesapeake Bay and its recreation right at hand. It is a genuinely good place to teach, and an even better one to make a life.
