Meet Our Head of School William J. "Billy" Coyle
William J. "Billy" Coyle became Head of Christchurch School in July 2022, bringing more than two decades of independent school experience to the Rappahannock. Before joining Christchurch, he served as Director of Finance and Operations at Palm Beach Day Academy, Florida's first independent school, where he spent more than a decade helping shape the strategic and operational foundation of a thriving school community. His broader independent school experience includes time at the Forman School and the Taft School, as well as nine years in private sector finance, accounting, and management.
Billy and his wife Mary have two grown children, Amanda and Ryan. He can most often be found where the action is -- on the fields, in the dining hall, and walking the riverbank with his dogs.
