FALL, LIVING CAMPUSLiving Campus
focuses on student-directed, action-based, sustainability-minded initiatives that further instill a connection to, empathy for and broader understanding of one's place.SPRING, RIVER IMMERSION
Under the premise that becoming a steward requires scaffolding, River Immersion
is a ten-week, co-curricular experience that affords students the consistent opportunity to physically and spiritually engage with the Rappahannock River and other local tributaries. Throughout this non-competitive experience students will learn hard and soft outdoor skills and contemplate environmental ethics. Having intimately engaged with these foundational skills a student’s relationship with the broader natural world can continue to evolve on their own terms beyond Christchurch School.
CO-CURRICULAR PROGRAMS take place each weekday afternoon, from 4-6, and include athletics, community service, performing arts, student leadership, robotics, and outdoor and nature-oriented programs.
STUDENTS PARTICIPATE in three activities per year, a requirement that leads to the discovery of new talents and encourages them to pursue activities outside their comfort zones
