Equestrian

Equestrian at Christchurch School offers student-athletes of all experience levels the chance to build confidence, learn responsibility, and develop a lifelong appreciation for horses. Through a partnership with nearby Fountain Greene Farm, riders gain hands-on experience in every aspect of horsemanship, from the saddle to the barn. Whether they are seasoned competitors or stepping into the ring for the first time, every student is encouraged to grow at their own pace within a supportive, close-knit program.

Set on the farm's pastures near the Rappahannock, the program emphasizes skill, patience, and genuine care for the animals in their charge. Students learn not only to ride, but to look after the horses who depend on them, building the discipline, teamwork, and self-reliance that lasts well beyond their time at Christchurch.
