During school breaks, if you are under 18, you must travel with a guardian over the age of 21.You do not need to be accompanied by an adult to travel home or on your way to stay with a guardian. This guardian must be listed in the Magnus Portal in the beginning of the year as an approved guardian. This guardian must complete two forms to ensure they will be taking care of you. If you are over 18 and on Dean's or Headmaster's list, you may travel alone with the following criteria: approval from parents acknowledging your travel plans, detailed itinerary, emergency contact information, travel companions, and approval from the International Student Coordinator prior to travel.

Yes. You are only able to open an account with a parent. If you are not arriving with a parent, unfortunately, this is not possible. You will need to use your international card. If you arrive with a parent, you should go to Bank of America and open up a checking account with a debit card. You will need to take your passport with you. If you are 18 or older, you can open an account by yourself. The school arranges trips to the bank throughout the year.
Christchurch School requests that all students arrive at Richmond International Airport (RIC). Please notify us in advance of your itinerary in order for the school to arrange transportation from the airport to the school. The School is located approximately 50 minutes east of Richmond International Airport.
All Christchurch students become a part of our school family. As a student, you will be assigned a faculty advisor who will meet with you daily to make sure that you are happy, comfortable, completing your academic responsibilities and communicating with your family. In addition, faculty in the ESL department will closely supervise your transition and daily life at Christchurch.
The first point of contact is your advisor. Your advisor can help you find the person who can help you with your problem. If your advisor can't help, you may then go to the International Student Coordinator.
