Critter Camp (ages 8-11) Enjoy a weeklong glimpse into many of the critters that live in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Campers will participate in explorations, by foot and canoe, leading to a better understanding of what lives in our local waters. Our exploration includes but is not limited to pulling seine nets, searching oyster cages, setting crab pots, viewing plankton under a microscope, and searching for fossils. Off campus trips may include visits to a salt marsh, a beaver pond, an animal farm, a fossil beach, an island, many sandy beaches, and even a museum or two. Campers will learn a variety of science skills as they explore the world around them. Campers spend both program sessions daily doing Critter Camp activities.
