A Home Away From Home
Christchurch residence halls are a welcoming home away from home, a place where friends live, study, and relax together. Students gain a real sense of independence living away from family, learning to get along with roommates, care for their space, manage busy schedules, and make their own good choices. That independence builds confidence and maturity, and no one navigates it alone: dorm parents are available around the clock for everything from a bout of homesickness to a first lesson in laundry.

Boarding school is not all work. With a community of friends on campus, there is always someone up for an adventure.
Outdoor Adventure
Weekends bring camping, kayaking, fishing, and time on the river, plus pickup soccer and tennis whenever the mood strikes.
On Campus
Dances and mixers, a fierce laser tag battle in the field house, and sledding down Headmaster's Hill when the snow falls.
Off Campus
Group trips to Colonial Williamsburg, concerts in Charlottesville, sunny days at Virginia Beach, and walks through the village of Urbanna just off campus.
Never Alone
Someone in Your Corner, Day and Night
Many faculty and their families live right on campus, creating a warm, small-town atmosphere where teachers are your neighbors, your best friend is just down the hall, and you are as likely to run into the head of school walking his dogs as to see him in his office. Dorm parents live alongside students, and every student has more than sixty caring adults ready with advice, encouragement, or just a cup of tea.
